In charge of zoning new servers and blades to storage systems as well as designing and architecting storage for application servers for performance. Extensive use of Navisphere for management of Clariions. Project lead for Server Consolidation for Agricultural Fortune 50 company. Consolidated server farm from 500+ physical servers down to about 200 physical servers. Architecture and design of VMWare farm (DRS, HA, and VCB with Netbackup are all being used). The VMWare farm consists of 24 hosts with over 360 guests (VMs). Have migrated the company through every version of VMWare, from 2.5 to 3.0.2, from 3.0.2 to 3.5, and finally from 3.5 to vSphere 4. Have done storage migration from CX-600 to a CX3-80 utilizing storage VMotion to allow for further storage growth. Have migrated the entire VMWare farm from 8 servers in an HP P-Class enclosure to 24 servers in 2 HP C-Class enclosure while doing the Server Consolidation and helped in the design of the networking and fiber of the HP C7000 enclosure. Daily administration of the farm includes deployment of servers from templates, analysis of software packages to be installed into the farm, analysis of current state and health of the farm as well as mitigation of any issues being seen and patching of ESX servers to keep up to date with IT security mandates. Installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows File Clusters, Print Clusters and SQL Clusters. As well as work with DNS, WINS, some Active Directory troubleshooting. HP hardware troubleshooting and maintenance. Have written assessments and roadmaps for the Corporate Data Center, Disaster Recovery, and the Data Storage architecture. Show less
