      Accreditation Project Officer

      The Accreditation Project Officer role was to develop and project manage the implementation of a new student housing accreditation scheme to appropriately regulate landlords in Canterbury. Key aims were to manage the effective promotion and marketing of the scheme and write website content to increase awareness and uptake from local estate agents and landlords. The role also required key stakeholder negotiations and partnership working with the Accommodation Officers at the University of Kent, Christchurch University and University of Creative Arts, the sabbatical officers at each university, the relevant council departments as well as local landlords and lettings agents.Key achievements:1. Fifty percent of all student housing in Canterbury became registered with the initiative within the first 12 months.2. Positive local media coverage by implementing additional refuse collections for accredited properties and a certification process for accredited landlords.3. Thousands of users registering on the website in the first twelve months to search for accredited properties as their student housing choice. Show less

      The CEDC Business Growth programme aims were increasing the levels of self-employment, lessening joblessness whilst also promoting and developing existing SME businesses within the borough of Croydon. The main focus of my role as Projects and Contracts Manager was to manage the key projects within the Business Growth programme. I managed c. 20 consultants to ensure delivery of targets; produced project delivery plans and specifications; wrote policies, strategy reports and risk assessments for all projects; and managed the budget for the Business Growth programme. I also monitored feedback to ensure change management is implemented where required.The projects managed included;1. Promoting business start ups through workshops, networking events and one to one business advice with professional consultants.2. Developing existing SME business growth for example increased profits, VAT registration and employee headcount.3. Promoting CEDC services through specialist events and targeted marketing to key demographic groups such as people with disabilities and people under the age of 25.4. Administering the Test Trading Grant budget (£20k) to new SMEs, ensuring recipients met all requirements. Show less

Furthermore I managed a building dedicated to providing affordable workspace for jewellers.The project ended in October 2011 and overachieved on all outputs with a small underspend.       Managing the ERDF funded 'Designer-Manufacturer Innovation Support Centre (DISC)' at the London College of Fashion, I was responsible for the day-to-day delivery of DISC activities, co-ordinating and monitoring the team of manufacturing and production experts as well as partners, and making sure that DISC provides a service that will make a significant positive impact on the sector. I managed a £2 million+ budget and a team of ten. My main responsibilities included partnership building; monitoring and delivery of targets; budget monitoring; reporting and the claims process to our funders (ERDF) as well as line management of a number of staff.DISC is successfully on track to achieve all outputs, and I assisted with the project being awarded an extra 18 months funding to continue the valued work of the project. I also wrote a successful one million Euro pan-European bid to help expand its reach. Show less

      Food Growing Schools: London (FGSL) is an exciting 3 year project which aims to engage with every school in the Greater London area in food growing activities. The project works with schools, volunteers, educational providers, local government and voluntary and community organisations to provide a pan London network of support for schools. I was responsible for the effective leadership of the FGSL team; ensuring that the project maximises, expands and develops school food growing activity in London. I managed relationships with partners, including close working relationships with funded project officers based at Sustain, and partners at the Greater London Authority. I developed and initiated new innovative opportunities, in terms of engagement activities, collaborative partnerships and stakeholder involvement to support London schools in food growing activity, including fundraising where appropriate. I was also responsible for managing the effective delivery of activities in line with set targets, objectives and milestones including baseline and monitoring data collection. Show less

      I manage the implementation and evaluation of new models of care, for example Respiratory Diagnostic Hubs, Hypertension case finding projects and NW London-wide pathways into community services for London Ambulance Service. I currently lead the Discharge, CVD and Respiratory programmes for NWL ICS, particularly focussing on optimising community discharge pathways, increasing hypertension detection and treatment, ensuring increased accurate diagnosis in respiratory diseases, and improving heart failure detection and management. I ensure that key milestones are achieved and required outcomes are met, and work closely and effectively with internal and external partners including Local Authorities, service users and carers, NHS providers and commissioners, and with other key organisations such as NHS England, Public Health and academic networks.Key achievements in this role include:• I led the high profile NW London Flu programme for 2020-21 – managing the implementation of the partnership plan including development of a stock share agreement, creation of a primary care flu dashboard, establishing partnership reporting and development of partnership guidance. The development and launch in September 2020 of a new NWL wide Flu dashboard gave primary care and commissioners the ability to track flu uptake rate and trajectories in primary care during the 2020-21 flu season• The development and launch of the first inter CCG primary care stock sharing agreement for flu vaccine stock, giving primary care the tools to share stock across traditional boundaries during this flu season • The launch of discharge to assess models in 2018 resulted in more than 6,000 patients being discharged via new ‘Home First’ pathways between Apr ‘18 -March ‘19 Show less All eight NW London’s Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) and partner organisations are working together in a collaborative way to successfully plan and implement major changes. We are delivering major transformation programmes through the Shaping a Healthier Future portfolio:1. Acute Reconfiguration – changing the acute hospital care landscape in NW London;2. Primary Care Transformation – delivering better care closer to home by improving access to GP led care and the quality of community buildings;3.
