  Youth Crisis Counselor

  It is my duty to ensure the safety and mental health well being of at-risk youth residing in the shelter. I work with Program Directors, Therapists, Law Enforcement, Doctors, CPS, and CFS to ensure a healthy environment and transition to their next destinations. I do medication distribution. I teach adult living skills eg cooking, laundry, balancing a bank account, or interviewing skills. I provide therapeutic groups on shift focusing on coping skills, maintaining frustration, or boundaries.
