  During my time at Servisair I was an import and export clerk. My duties involved working closely with the warehouse to ensure the correct freight was sent on pallets or in AKE bins to India for Jet Airways. I had to make sure I worked hard and efficiently to make sure my work was finished by the deadlines that were set. Another part of my job was checking in freight and handling documents for any import freight that came to us via Jet Airways. Again working quickly to make sure the cargo was custom cleared and the correct amount of pieces and weight were checked in via our in-house system, allowing customers to see when status 1 was set and when their freight was ready for collection.   I currently work on the Pfizer Pharmaceutical account which I am the main contact for. This involves arranging the exports for life saving vaccines to be sent around the world. As the commodity of the goods is of such high importance, the position brings a high pressure working environment with many tight deadlines and strict procedures to follow. I work with many different airlines within the UK comparing rates and services to decide which will be the best fit for making sure our shipments fly as booked, are kept in the correct temperature conditions, arrive on time and are undamaged. Part of my role is to create Master and House Airway bills for each of the shipments manually in Logis as well as the invoicing to the customer and arranging all transport of the goods from the shipper’s facility to the airline. I work very closely with the Logistics team within Pfizer and have regular visits to their office in Havant requiring my professionalism to be shown in front of our customers helping to build our working relationships and to sell DHL as the best forwarder to be working with. Show less I currently work for DHL Global Forwarding International Life Sciences. I work with a team of 3 others and we organise any aspect of freight for GE Healthcare. My daily jobs include, Import clearances collections and deliverys, invoicing, creating and organising Export Paperwork such as Master Airwaybills and House Airwaybills, booking freight with airlines, arranging delivery and collections of any Export shipments, Excel Spreadsheets for the customer, Export Customs entries and many other things. I enjoy my role in the comapny, I work hard and value our customer. I am always looking to further my expierence, learn more and climb higher within the company. Show less

  As of DEC2016 i have started working on the Air imports department for Damco. With having basic knowledge on Imports and a vacancy arising, i took the chance to move from exports into this new role to gain further experience and learn more around the world of imports at LHR. I was first given a very high profile account for a major retailer which i am now thriving in. Organising and completing Full and Simplified customs clearances, billing, airport transfers and collections/deliveries to different locations around the UK. I have also now been given a few smaller accounts to handle alone meaning my understanding is growing everyday. When i first started working for Damco i was based in the air exports department as a co-ordinator. Within the first few months i was given the responsibility of handling one of the biggest accounts, whom specialised in military equipment, ranging from weapon stations to fully armoured vehicles being sent to the United Arab Emirates. It was in this role that i learnt the ins and outs of License shipments and IPR shipments and the necessary actions that were required to get the goods exported. As well as handling this account i was also given the responsibility of several smaller accounts, ranging from retail to baby milk, to hazardous material. Show less

  Managing Import and Export operations in Air Logistics for 4 Customer service centres (Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and London) across the UK through a centralised team of individuals at Heathrow. I have recently been promoted to Supervisor within a team of 6 for general air exports and key accounts. We also handle most crosstrades within our network at the Heathrow branch. Pushing myself and my team to work to the best of their abilities and achieving the best results is key to now being part of the management team.
