  Encephalon is a one year long program initiated by the youth initiative: DLEEL Alexandria, and hosted by “Bibliotheca Alexandrina's Generalities Unit”. Encephalon, aims to orient its participants on scientific and critical thinking for the sake of putting them on track the broad field of scientific research and empower them to invent and push their future careers, in whichever disciplines, to new levelsThree stages are involved in this program:- Stage One:A bundle of soft skills, necessary for a prospective researcher, are introduced at this stage. Orientation to interpersonal skills, researching and critical thinking techniques together with general knowledge, will be crucial for sketching broad guidelines for a proper concept paper at the end of this stage. - Stage Two:This involves introduction to research methodologies, and necessary information related to writing and publishing research papers. At the end of this stage, participants will be able to write down a proposal for their projects related to the ideas and concepts they were able to reach in stage one. - Stage Three (Final Stage):With the help of professional/academic mentoring, the participants will start formulating their proposals to be presented in the Encephalon Fair which will be held at the end of the program.The program will also include several field visits to different scientific institutions and communities, engagements in video conferences and campaigns to help participants feed their curiosity for science.
