  During my tenure as the Co-Founder of Unite Tutors from February 2021 to May 2022, a close friend and founded an online student tutoring charity in Hong Kong, dedicated to providing educational support to underprivileged students of Hong Kong.My responsibilities as a co-founder included the task of organising and coordinating activities within volunteers and students. This role required effective planning, open and empathetic communication, and the ability to adapt to each student's unique needs. Through this experience, I not only honed my organisational skills but also learned the invaluable lesson of tailoring our approach to cater to individual learning styles and challenges.I actively engaged with educators and parents from underprivileged schools, recognising the importance of understanding their concerns and specific needs. This approach allowed us to align our tutoring efforts with the requirements of the students and schools. It also served as a ground for enhancing my skills in relationship management, as I worked to build trust and rapport with a diverse array of parents and schools.Furthermore, Unite Tutors had the privilege of collaborating with volunteers from international schools, a diverse mix of individuals hailing from Japan, Canada, France, and Hong Kong. This experience was an enriching opportunity to collaborate with people of different cultural backgrounds. This exposure broadened my ability to work with individuals from various cultures and with diverse viewpoints, a skill that I believe is increasingly crucial in today's interconnected world.My role as the Co-Founder of Unite Tutors was a valuable experience that enhanced my leadership and collaboration skills. It deepened my commitment to supporting underprivileged students in their pursuit of quality education.   During the summer, I undertook a summer internship at ICO Group Limited, a prominent IT consultancy firm based in Hong Kong. This role provided me with a well-rounded experience by allowing me to work with both the IT Application Services and Sales teams. These experiences significantly broadened my horizons and honed my skills in the fields of software engineering and consultancy.Within the IT Application Services team, I was actively involved in various coding projects, where I not only honed my programming skills in languages such as Visual Basic, Java, and SQL but also conducted vulnerability tests to ensure the robustness and security of applications. This hands-on experience was complemented by valuable soft skills development, including effective communication and time management. Daily team meetings were a key platform for enhancing my ability to contribute positively to project coordination.My time in the Sales team allowed me to gain insights into the intricacies of consultancy and relationship-building within the IT industry. I learned to tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of clients through careful analysis, collaboration, and adaptability. This experience underscored the significance of delivering personalized solutions that foster trust and nurture long-lasting client relationships.In both of these teams, I had the privilege of delving into the different realms of consultancy and software development. The dynamic and collaborative environment instilled in me the desire to continuously improve my technical and communication skills. I aspire to embark on a career in a similar working environment that prioritises attributes like perseverance, trust, and a growth-oriented mindset.
