      Accounting clerk

Accounting ClerkRichard's Electric, Bob Sumerel Tire, Estes Machine Products, Physician Billing, Blue Chip ComputersMany of these jobs I did overlapping while I was attending College and before I started my career in Computers. After Moving from Maryland to Cincinnati, the jobs available were in accounting. I worked as an accounting clerk for several companies throughout Cincinnati. Some full time before I was married and some freelance as I started to have a family and my time was limited. In 1994, I started my college journey and kept working as a clerk, as well as, taking on the computer science internship position at UC. My experience with being a clerk at a variety of different business models was instrumental in learning the logic behind many computer systems that I supported once I began my career as a systems analyst.By learning the accounting role from the ground up with various computerized or manual systems, I have a very good sense of business concepts and how it flows between departments and job roles. I can visual when speaking with clients how they are performing their duties, which translates to how I visualize that same action flowing through the software product I am supporting. Show less

Results: helped grow the revenue for this doctor without costing him a fortune to buy and install new software packages. I integrated with word processing program to send reports necessary to satisfy the billing requirements to the companies using his clinic for employee screening.Blue Chip Computers: Office ManagerHighlights: As I went through my program at UC, promoted to a field technician/consultant.
