      I led M-CRIL’s School Quality Assessment program in addition to microfinance Social Rating and Client Protection Certification verticals. Education:I have had the experience of working with the government schools in Madhya Pradesh, India as a Lead Technical Partner & Trainer in a consortium led by ARK India for a DFID funded project. I led four members team from M-CRIL in the consortium. Some of the key deliverables of the project included:• Development and pilot test of quality assessment framework for primary and middle government schools across three districts in nearly 100 schools• Facilitating development of Community Engagement Strategy• Capacity Development of panel of agencies (NGOs) and government personnel on assessment framework through multiple rounds of training and monitoring • Development of Assessor Performance Management Tool and its application across five districts in 2,000 schools• Providing inputs on development of web and android based assessment, monitoring and reporting applicationFinancial Inclusion:I represented M-CRIL in microfinance committees at global level including Smart Campaign Technical Committee and Truelift Technical Committee. In India, I have represented M-CRIL in technical working groups formed by MFIN and SIDBI. In my new role, I was responsible for business development, preparation of proposals, client management and mentoring of team members.Additionally, I have led multiple ratings of MFIs as well as NGO working in the areas of education, water, sanitation etc. My experience also includes Client Protection Certifications, Code Of Conduct Assessments, Loan Portfolio Audits, Research Studies, Risk Management Implementation and training assignments in microfinance sector.I have worked across 16 countries in Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. Show less Education:I spearheaded the School Quality Assessment vertical and led M-CRIL's 15 member school assessment team for low cost private schools in Hyderabad and Delhi, India. During 2009-11, over 300 affordable private schools were assessed in Hyderabad and Delhi.At a strategic level my responsibilities included relationship management with GMC, liaison with other education service partners, product refinement in collaboration with GMC and overall business planning. At the operational level, I was engaged in hiring, capacity development and mentoring of team members, work planning, reviewing reports and overall quality control. In the capacity of Project Manager I was also accountable for discharging administrative duties, managing spending as well as internal and external reporting.I also have exposure to low cost private schools in Pakistan through consulting project for Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA). The project comprised of facilitating development of school quality assessment framework customised to the country context and capacity building of ITA staff.Financial Inclusion:During the period I also developed services for assessment of NGOs on transparency, efficiency, impact and sustainability and of MFIs on the industry code of conduct and RBI guidelines. I also conducted research studies for agro-based company and MFIs. The pilot consisted of multiple iterations incorporating feedback from industry experts including The Teacher Foundation and ASER Centre.Financial Inclusion:Additionally I conducted Credit Ratings and Social Performance Assessments of Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) of varying sizes and forms across India, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Cambodia. Identifying key strengths and areas of improvement pertaining to aspects of governance, operational strategy, management, systems and conducting margin analysis were main components of rating.       As Project Manager for Gray Matters India, I was responsible for smooth execution of ASER Assessments across 43 South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) Schools and Full Assessment across 20 schools for The Education Alliance (TEA).In Saksham Haryana Project, I led the team for pilot assessments of nearly 2,000 students across 14 districts followed by first round of assessments of over 15,000 students across 400 Haryana government schools in five districts. My responsibilities included closely working with the client (Samagra Development Associates) in project planning to ensure effective execution.For both the projects, I was in-charge of mobilising requisite resources and co-ordinating with the partners & vendors, training of Trainers, Assessors & Invigilators, monitoring for process adherence, client management, issue resolution and overall quality control.
