  I worked on Credit Valley's Maternity Unit as a student. In this role I matched the load of my preceptor, which on some days included 4 mothers and 4 babies. I did assessments, monitoring, teaching, and medication administration for all my patients. I went with mothers to their breastfeeding classes, and also supported with teaching throughout the stay. Teaching often included information about feeding, growth, bathing, diapers etc. I also gave immunizations for mothers, and did blood work for babies for their CCHD screening. Show less
