      After my training I was responsible for rewinding electrical motors. Motors that had suffered from severe wear and tear I would work on and replace the copper wiring so that the machines would work efficiently again

      During my time at this company I performed a number of different roles. I operated Midland Machine Tool (MMT), BSA horizontal turning machine, a Borizer, CNC and Honing machines. I produced cylinder liners for cars, ships and everything else that had a piston in. I later took on the role of mentor and helped to train new employees how to use these machines.

      I was responsible for operating machinery and setting deep hole borers, this involved working on extremely large pieces of work for large projects. It was important that I paid attention to detail at all times as accuracy was paramount. I also took on the responsibility of training other employees. The equipment we made was used in the oil and gas industry and exported to the USA.

When customers secured employment I then closed the claim. If customers fell out work I then booked Back to Work sessions, the customers who attended then went onto weekly signings. Whilst working at Job Centre Plus I was awarded the Reward and Recognition Certificate for excellent contribution to the District. Implemented the ACKO security check system for the office to ensure staffs are working within specified legal guidelines.
