      Summer fellow in Dr. Riscoe's research lab (in collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University) to develop a safe and effective anti-malarial compound, specifically in malaria strains that are resistant towards Atovaquone and Quinine. Worked to synthesize biphenyl Endochin-Like Quinolones (ELQs) via Palladium Coupling and Condensation/Cyclization reactions, and then conduct biological testing on compounds using blood cultures and IC50 titration curves.
