Case study centred around Alstom Washwood Heath (Former Metro-Cammell works) Birmingham and Add Trans – Litchurch Lane Derby.       Conducted full comprehensive safety audit of AVFCs undertakings (on and off pitch activates and associated business) by carrying out detailed risk assessments with the view to either eradicate faults and reduced risk to a tolerable level. Areas of work included security, crowd control and liaison with external parties including television outside broadcast. Risk assessments and recommendations culminated in report to be used for statement to the City.

They play in Division one of the Midland Football League and is a progressive club which includes a successful youth football side. I have been involved with this club for over ten years and previous served as Vice Chairman and Chairman.

      Oversaw the development of evacuation procedures for the stations within the Themes Link Core (Black Fryers, City Themes link, Farringdon and St Pancras [LL]). This included provision for evacuation of the tunnels and introduction of the new Class 700 EMUs.Advised from the fire and emergency planning perspective on the improvement scheme at Finsbury Park Station which involved the sinking of a number of common lift shafts to link passengers between the heavy rail and LUL stations below.Produced and delivered the Local Emergency and fire plan for the new GTR Train Care Facility at Three Bridges.Assisted with the establishment and subsequently chaired the GTR Business Continuity Group. Which established and marinated a risk register.Produced Business Continuity Plans for the Head Office Function, Retails Systems and Customer information Systems which where submitted to the Department for Transport.Advised other aspects of the business on fire and emergency planning issues.Represented the business at the Rail Football Forum.
