  I started my Packaging career at Atos on a 1 year long apprenticeship. After the year i was kept on and began a long packaging career there.Over the course of the time i spent at Atos i gained experience with MSI and App-V packaging, using multiple types of packaging tools including InstallShield, InstedIT and Orca. I became proficient in PowerShell. I gained valuable experience using SCCM 2007, helping manage an account of 1000+ machines migrate from Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit which included packaging the applications and then testing deployments through SCCM with pilot groups and following change windows. I then gained experience using SCCM 2012 / Current Branch.I was part of projects, which included a big Windows XP migration to Windows 8 for one of our main customers. This included packaging many different applications with a range of different complexities using different technologies. This also included vigorous testing and SCCM deployment later on in the lifecycle. Show less

  My role required me to be the in-house BAU application packager and handle all internal packages, managing updates of applications and overseeing supersedence and retiring of applications. As a part of the team I became the process and document controller, creating the IS Configuration Packaging Process, Packaging Standards Document, Retirement and Supersedence Process and more. The role required the use of a PowerShell toolkit to wrap applications and deploy using PowerShell.Through experience, I became more advanced in PowerShell and had been given the responsibility to manage internal tools, with any updates or fixes. I was responsible for overseeing the deployment and UAT testing of applications and overseeing the end to end lifecycle. I was also required to test task sequences on different machines, create new driver packages for new machines accepted into the business, modify BIOS settings to apply to new machines, ensuring a standard security status is set about each machine. I was required to, through change control, make changes to task sequences, WMI queries etc, however my experience was limited. I was often managing the workflow in the team and managed the internal mailbox, assigning tickets and updates the tickets with notes.
