Since our founding in 1992, the purpose of our charter has remained unchanged: to provide interested students and alumni of all disciplines with an understanding of what is happening in the financial and capital markets and to offer a platform for networking with companies. Since similar stock exchange associations already existed at many German universities, the founding of the Akademischer Börsenzirkel was also intended to take into account Munich's importance as the No. 1 insurance center, No. 2 banking center and No. 3 stock exchange center.Today, the ABZ has over 600 members, the majority of whom study at the LMU and TU in Munich and have a business or economics major.
