Throughout my years here I have shared responsibility for taking inventory, ordering, training and mentoring professional & undergraduate students, data management, data analysis, writing, manuscript preparation. I have presented at multiple Society for Neuroscience and Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology conferences. I also published 2 first author manuscripts and 4 additional co-author manuscripts during my time here. Additionally, I was awared the Female Scholar in Vision Research Fellowship from Prevent Blindness (Prevent Blindness Ohio) within my first 6 months in the lab. Other major accomplishments include: implementing & optimizing new protocols and technologies in the lab such as ELISA, bead-based multiplexing (Magpix), ProteinSimple Wes automated western blot, and RNaScope multichannel fluorescent mRNA labeling in brain sections.
