  I have worked in this part time role for over 2 years. In this role, I have a vast variety of roles/jobs that I need to be able to do efficiently, effectively and in the right manner. Firstly, as this is primarily a mini golf course, I have to organise giving out equipment and managing online bookings, walk-ins and telephone calls. Additionally, the company provides a bar/cafe experience as there are a variety of hot and cold drinks on offer, including tea, coffee, latte, cappuccinos, smoothies, milkshakes etc. Furthermore, we also have an ice cream parlour, so that includes in my role serving and scooping ice creams as per customer orders. Maintenance of the course is also required: frequent checks of no damage or vandalism to the course, helping customers if their golf balls get stuck in certain obstacles, topping up hand sanitizer pumps, cleaning toilets, tables, food and drink preparation areas and the general kiosk area, emptying bins. Finally, this also includes, taking food orders and taking them out to customers once prepared.On top of these skills, communication skills are key since there are a wide variety of customers that are different ages and come from different backgrounds. Composure is another key skill to have since the course and cafe can become extremely busy and chaotic, so to be able to multi-task, work quickly and communicate in the appropriate manner is essential.   This summer school project welcomed Year 12 students from under-represented backgrounds in Higher Education, where they would be immersed in talks and interactive research projects within the Sports Medicine field.My role was to lead a group in performing Isometric Mid-Thigh Pull and Rebound Countermovement Jump tests. This led to the investigation of the relationships between various metrics such as the modified reactive strength index (mRSI), peak force output, rate of force development (RFD), etc. This required the demonstration of how to use equipment and technology of Hawkins Dynamics Force Plates and how to collect and record the data onto a tablet. Furthermore, supervision was needed for these tests as they involve the use of heavy equipment, and jumping movements where correct form needs to be used to prevent injury and damage.The students would then go onto analyse their collected data, formulate figures and create a scientific presentation to present to their peers and UCL staff.
