      Dr. Groome served as the inaugural Vice President for Programs at NYC FIRST and was responsible for the development, management and expansion of robotics, engineering and maker programming across NYC. She assumed that role at the start of the pandemic and oversaw the team that shifted all instruction including credit-bearing courses, maker space programs, and robotics competitions online, creating dynamic and impactful programming for over 7,000 NYC-based students. In collaboration with the CEO and VP of Advancement, Dr. Groome created a strategic programmatic vision for the organization.
