      President and CEO ATESI

      • Have played a key management roll in all areas of LM6000 gas turbine maintenance and repair at TCP’s Fort Lupton facility since it’s commissioning in 1994. • Developed and currently executing the plan by which TCP is able to accomplish LM60000 Hot Section Overhauls in house. This strategy will allow savings of approximately $2.5MM over the next three years.• Identified and corrected a major source of domestic object damage caused by lock wire in the LM6000 VBV duct in all TCP/KMPC’s engines. This cause/solution which was later acknowledged and adopted by the OEM resulting in a fleet wide Service Bulletin eliminating the risk for all LM6000’s.• Devised a plan to incorporate campaign service bulletin S/B220 (inlet gearbox modifications) for TCPL, KMPC and GE that reduced the incorporation from 15 days to 5 days by utilizing a rotable spare gearbox and GE non-depot field repair assets. This action saved over $2MM for every 5 engines by reducing shop time and avoiding high overhead repair depots.• Implemented a plan for on-site gearbox replacement that eliminated a $400K shop visit and saved $200K.• Negotiated and purchased a Low Pressure compressor module for $250K and saved TCP $400k in repair costs.• Acquired $4MM in rotable assets for less then $1.5MM that provides continuing savings in repair costs and reduced down time. This benefit is a direct benefit from the proprietorship at Advanced Technologies Engineering Services Inc., this now enables us to save at least $500K on every Hot Section repair accomplished. This maintenance practice saves better then 50% from our In House repairs verses OEM. Show less

Provide a valuable service to our customers always delivering significant cost savings to the bottom line. Continual recognition that the LM6000 operations, repair, and overhaul costs represent the largest costs at the facility by far and that the effective control of those costs will make the difference between financial success or failure of the project. Always bring a fresh new dimension and approach to the work performed on the LM6000 fleet at all facilities. Always practice problem avoidance and eliminate production interruption by avoiding costly unplanned repairs and emergency hardware acquisitions. Consistently stay on top of my field through industry awareness and networking, always striving to take the best path forward. Always be willing to share, educate and pass valuable knowledge to others. This organization has provided the avenue that keeps us involved with failure investigations in our industry. Hone key negotiation skills to insure maximum value is achieved after a Catastrophic Event. Provides essential expertise during maintenance, repair and overhaul to minimize unscheduled production interruption. This company provides us with a greater exposure to a larger cross section of events for better industry awareness. ATESI through close industry ties and strong vendor relationships has been able to locate key hardware at less then 50% of OEM list and pass that savings to our customers Show less

      • Provides leadership and participates in all maintenance activities to insure the best value is always achieved. Includes preparation of all engine repair, hot section, and overhaul bid packages, review and evaluation of all received bids and associated terms and conditions, direct participation in the repair process including review of scrapped parts, proposed repair processes, and alternative parts sourcing. This is only achievable from extensive hands on experience with LM6000 engines as well as industry wide sources of information, tooling and spare part networking.• Directly involved in the preparation, evaluation, and processing of all insurance claims. This includes preparation of support documentation including failure and metallurgical analysis reports where required to support claims.• Worked closely with GE to broaden the 50K overhaul interval for the LM6000 through On Condition Monitoring. This practice reduces the overhaul costs by at least 50% and eliminates the premature removal of expendable hardware. Also integral in evaluating and implementing extended maintenance cycles of part loaded engines at the Fort Lupton facility. Show less
