    • Accredo by Evernorth

      Aug 2006 - Jun 2012

From November 2009 to August 2011, I served in the role of a Systems Integration Architect in the newly formed Business Innovation and Agility Center (BIAC). In the BIAC, my team used cutting edge technologies like Pegasystems and Apple iOS to build advanced, innovative solutions to rapidly meet the challenges of Accredo's market. I also used Visio extensively to create detailed models of the enterprise system architecture, and made diagrams showing how numerous systems interact and what kinds of data are interchanged. After concluding my service in the BIAC in August 2011, I returned to the role of an Oracle Developer. I used my skills and knowledge to code critical performance enhancements to a key nightly process, cutting the run time in half and saving precious CPU resources. I also worked with a 3rd party vendor to design an interface between our systems. Show less

    • Sedgwick

      Jun 2012 - Jul 2016

In my previous position at Sedgwick, I served as the Senior Oracle Developer on a team of five developers. My first major project was as the sole developer on a major carrier interface project, succeeding despite limited knowledge of Sedgwick’s business and systems. I transitioned into the role of Scrum Master and Development Team Lead for another carrier interface project, where I mentored the team in the Agile software development methodology. I went on to earn my Certified Scrum Master certification in March 2013.Finally, I became part of a Scrum team converting several interfaces from using flat-files to .NET web services that connect to Oracle DB. Although my past experience has been primarily in Oracle and Java, this project allowed me to gain experience with Microsoft .NET. As the Senior Oracle Developer on the project, I had the opportunity to perform code reviews, mentor my teammates on best practices, and provide technical leadership to the team. Show less
