  Running own design company as secondary job. D4 architekti for many years has been a single person vehicle to take me out of the industrial world and drive me through relatively large number of private smaller scale design projects which have not necessarily materialized in real world (though many did!).   2 years in a role of design group team-leader, responsible for feasibility analysis and concept design of industrial development projects in CEMEA region with focus on production facilities and logistic parks.   Field supervisor for Basic Design author

  Acted as supervisor for Basic Design author of NPP Mochovce Units 3 and 4 completion - 2x440MW VVER in a construction phase owned by Slovenske Elektrárne (previously) Enel Group. Two units are being constructed and commissioned in Slovakia with total investment cost of €6.2 billion. Main responsibilities were supervision activities for the author of Basic Design and support for detail design of civil part of Units 3 and 4, to ensure the realization consistency with Basic Design and fulfillment of project requirements. Activities included on-site supervisory activities on weekly basis and participation on take-over inspections among others. Other tasks were related to support for seismic reinforcement project of NPP Mochovce Units 1 and 2 which are in operation since 1998 respectively 1999. The role have included supervisory and survey activities taking place partially in controlled zone of reactor building.Scope:Conventional Island buildings including Control building (which is part of CI in NPP EMO34), Turbine building, Pumping stations ESW, NESW, Diesel generator stations).   Working on Fennovoima Hanhikivi-1 project, a 1200MW VVER Nuclear Power Plant being constructed in Finland in a turnkey contract to be delivery by RAOS Project Oy, which is part of the Rosatom Group. Total investment cost between €6.5–7 billion. As a Layout Design Engineer in Plant Design Unit I had ownership of layout design of several buildings of Nuclear Island and took actions necessary from Owners perspective in close cooperation with EPC Supplier.Main responsibilities:- Review of 3D model and design documents and understanding of layout solutions- Evaluation of layout aspects notably those important from Safety Architecture point of view- Verification of fulfilment of Nuclear Safety requirements and protection against Hazards by using ADLAS methodology and formalized safety reviews.- Ensuring standards of documentation quality and its compliance with project requirements- Evaluation of the effects of any design modification that needs to be implemented- Ensuring the consistency through the design and adequacy of used solutions- Active identifying external dependencies and interfaces- Working with 3D model Navisworks programsOther notable tasks:- Verifying of layout and ergonomic design of Main Control Room and other control rooms of NPP- Ensuring the early adoption of Nuclear Safeguards and promotion of Safeguards by Design approach- Organization and participation on technical meetings with the contractor (EPC contract)- Review of procedures and quality documents Show less
