  Remote Site Nurse- Emergency Care

   Delivery of emergency care to all personnel on site/project. Providing assessments and consultations for illness or injury including relevant clinical assessment, treatment, and follow up of all cases until complete resolution.  Liaison with Response Medical Services appointed MD’s (Medical Director/ Doctors) for emergency support and resources, if required. Stabilize and monitor medical and trauma cases that are serious enough to require evacuation to a larger medical facility. Requesting medical evacuation of ill or injured personnel, when necessary. Ensure that medical evacuation plans are practical for the area of operations and for the level of medical services found in the area. To ensure that these plans are communicated to the relevant project personnel and that they understand their roles in the event of an emergency.  Keeping a detailed and factual medical record of all cases seen including diagnosis, treatment given and final disposition, and applying appropriate confidentiality to the records.  Always maintaining the clinic facility in a clean and tidy state of readiness. Manage and maintain the site ambulance and inventory in a state of readiness. Monitoring inventory daily of medications and other supplies to ensure continuous availability of medications, disposable items and equipment at an acceptable levels. Maintain a controlled drug register in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Preparation of medical supply orders for HQ approval and procurement according to Response Medical Services SOP. Conduct weekly toolbox talks on various health and safety topics to keep site crew informed of health and medical issues that might arise during their stay on site. Work with Client HSE and apply reasonable knowledge of safe food handling principles and practice to carry out inspections of appropriate installations used by client’s employees and other contractors.
