  At Shehab Engineering, I held the role of Information Systems Administrator and Network Security Administrator, where my primary responsibility was to ensure the security and optimal functionality of the company's IT infrastructure. This infrastructure consisted of a network serving 50 employees and five dedicated servers. My work was heavily focused on network and system security, utilizing a range of Sophos products, including the Sophos firewall, endpoint security, and Sophos Central, to protect the organization from a wide array of potential cyber threats.In this role, I took charge of the overall design, implementation, and management of the network’s security protocols. The company’s network was essential to its daily operations, making my responsibilities critical for the secure and seamless functioning of both internal processes and external communications. My primary goal was to ensure that the organization's IT systems were safeguarded against security breaches, data theft, and other malicious activities while maintaining a high standard of performance for users.One of the cornerstones of my responsibilities was the deployment and management of the Sophos firewall. This firewall acted as the first line of defense against external threats, monitoring and controlling incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules. My task was to configure these rules carefully, tailoring them to the specific needs and vulnerabilities of Shehab Engineering’s network environment. I ensured that the firewall was optimized to block unauthorized access while permitting legitimate traffic to flow efficiently. Part of this process involved the constant monitoring of firewall logs, where I would analyze traffic patterns, identify suspicious activities, and take immediate action when potential threats were detected.In addition to the firewall, I worked extensively with Sophos endpoint security solutions.
