  Responsible for the research, development and optimization of the concrete mix designs. From which, I created new products like self-compacted concrete. In charge of improving the quality assurance and quality control practices of the company. Thus, I implemented the software COMMANDqc to develop quality performance indicators of raw materials to monitor concrete quality and optimize the mix designs to comply with strength, durability and aggregate grading requirements.

  Laboratory & Material Manager

  Design, procure, build, furnish, equip, and manage four (4) Materials Laboratory accredited to ISO 17025 by NATA, for tests related to concrete, soils and rocks, aggregates, water quality and hazardous mineral fibres. This entails managing a team of 15 engineers & technicians and concerning subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure that the laboratory testing services are conducted in a safe manner and consistent with company quality protocols, project requirements, and in a timely manner. Ensure proper scoping of services to meet customer needs and expectations while rendering a profit. Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on services and processes. Develop a set of concrete mixes that address all the requirements of the project, namely mixes for the production of segments for the tunnel boring machine (TBM) with a durability of 100 & 150 years of design life; shotcrete for primary and final support of the excavations, mass & self-compacted concrete, grouts, among others.
