I work in close liasion with other health fraternities (e.g., Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Orthopeadics, Cardiology, General Medicine, Oncology). I raise awareness regarding mental health concerns through seminars and trainings.

      I was the pioneer of counseling services at UN(India). I wrote 46 newsletter that were informative and educational for staff. i brought out 2 colorful pamphlets to enhance awareness regarding mental health concerns. I effectively conducted training sessions on work-life balance, stress management, work-place stress. I handled several acses of acute and traumatic stress. I regularly provided feedback to senior managers.

I am actively dealing with concerns across the entire lifespan (children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). People come to me to discuss and overcome anxiety, depression, marital concerns, career issues, loneliness, relationship concerns. Empowering people and see them grow is my passion. I have initiated Clinical Psychology services at Gurgaon as well as Pitampura (North Delhi)., in addition to providing services at Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute. I work with clients with diverse concerns that include anxiety, depression, job related stress, marital concerns, childhood concerns (food fads, temper tantrum, school refusla, bed wetting), LGBTQ issues as well as geriatric concerns.

      Stress Counselor

      I worked as UNDSS Stress Counselor in Afghanistan for more than 6 years. I proactively supported several cases of hostage and other critical incidents (like post bombing, suicide attacks). I stayed on the ground and supported during August 2021, when Afghanistan was taken over by Talibans. I got standing ovation by the Security Management Team on multiple occasions for providing services beyond the hour of duty and making significant managerial recommendations that benefitted staff and managers equally.       I lead the Mental health & well-being Team at UNDP from August 2022 to March 2024. The well-being team is a part of Office of Human Resource in UNDP-Headquarters. I supervised a team of six international counselors. I was actively engaged in supporting mental health needs of UNDP personnel across the globe. I worked at developing strategies to manage burnout and ensure that UNDP personnel achieve their goals in the most productive manner, while taking care of their own mental health and well-being. I have provided significant inputs for Return to work, as personnel were telecommuting post COVID. I collaborate with other UN agencies' counselors and stakeholders to promote mental health.
