  I was a mechanical engineering intern within the sustaining equipment group. The goal was to increased the efficiency of the manufacturing machines. I was responsible for two machines and give the task to locate the problems within these processes and implemented quality control mechanisms. Tasks included design and installation of new parts for the machine, developing maintenance procedures, working with outside vendors to manufacture new parts, and bring in outside vendors to help develop new vision systems for automated quality control.   The position was a long term intern/ engineer 1 position in the Design and Develop Engineering Team. Duties includes creating engineering drawings, CR/CN processing, and redline incorporation's. Additional duties includes the design and development of new product. Development of product included 3D printed prototypes, short term testing, and long term performance testing. Responsible for products from prototype design to full production. Products developed included injected molded plastics.

  Product Improvement Engineer Intern

  The internship was in the Product Improvement Team for Subsea ROV's. My duties were based on a few major projects they needed completed. I worked on design and testing of new water pressure compensators in heavy silt conditions, rivet corrosion issues in subsea aluminum frames, and development of cable routing housing. The product operating environment was unique due to the high salt content, heavy pressure, and silt covered ocean floors in underwater oceanic environments. During my internship I used a combination of FEM validation and prototype testing data to validate the new design.
