  Worked in a team to port the OpenAMIP simulator from C to C++. This is a command line application that simulates an antenna control unit and is used to test a modem. The simulator uses an OpenAMIP protocol to connect to an iDirect terminal and simulates an antenna that is tracking a satellite as the modem is moving on a ship or airplane.- Grouped common functionality into classes: Created classes to hold information and update statuses for the modem and ACU, a class to generate skew angles, and one to send/process messages between the modem and ACU. - Implemented the project using modern C++ features such as standard containers, threads for multithreading, and libraries such as Boost and Chrono.- Created unit tests using GTest.- Used CMake to generate the build pipeline.- Established a TCP connection between the antenna control unit and the modem.- Followed Agile Methodology by participating in daily standups.
