      As a researcher and policy analyst, I worked on non-traditional security threats (piracy, pandemics, home-grown terrorism); I wrote papers, published opinion pieces in all the leading Australian newspapers, and gave presentations. I have published two thrillers based on my research, an a memoir that is currently being made into a film. I have been a guest at numerous writers' festivals and a literacy ambassador for 'Get Reading'
