      Ryan worked directly for the Project Superintendent and was responsible for project layout and dimensional accuracy by laying out buildings with total stations, interpreting plans and specifications, communicating and establishing control lines for crafts and subcontractors, and job-wide safety. Ryan produced detailed concrete formwork shop drawings for field use, laid out concrete tilt up panels as well as tracked and reported daily job production.       Ryan orchestrated design coordination through the utilization of BIM in both pre-construction and construction phases for Turner’s Seattle business unit by facilitating the routing and functions of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Primary responsibility was to implement Turner’s BIM vision and structure and facilitate consistency, increase quality, effectiveness, and efficiency through implemented practices on all projects. Day to day responsibilities consisted of: • Work with teams to assist in project set up in appropriate design software to facilitate standard practices • Manage, audit, and keep models on track by reviewing project models on a weekly basis for consistency with standards, level of development, and efficient modeling practices • Created baseline coordination schedules for all projects in the Seattle business unit • Monitor clash detection and perform quality assurance/quality control checks• Document and report coordination issues with the 3D models and/or contract documents • Develop best practices for designers on communicating the full design intent via use of 3D modeling• Facilitate coordination meetings with subcontractors and design team, ensure sign offs and deliverable schedules are met• Collaborate with the teams to find solutions for design issues and help resolve clashes Show less As a Project Engineer in Turner's Special Projects Division Ryan managed and supported the field operations on various assigned projects. Ryan worked under the project manager with guidance from senior engineers. He was responsible for understanding and achieving the clients' goals while protecting and promoting the interests of Turner. Project responsibilities included but were not limited to estimating, contracts, change orders, submittal and RFI coordination, safety, project management, pay apps, billings, and project closeout.
