      Nov 2021 - Feb 2023

During my final two years of high school I spent the summers working at a family owned business working as a junior mechanic. This accumulates to 8 months of full time experience, on top of experience gained part-time during the academic year. My responsibilities included performing vehicle inspections, repairing and maintaining a range of motor vehicles, and assisting qualified automotive technicians.

Led a team of 6 student engineers to design the mechanical components for our team's 2025 entry in the Formula SAE Australasia Competition. Actively involved in the design of suspension componentry, including bellcranks and wishbones, creating numerous parametric models in Fusion 360. Worked closely with the Chief Technical Officer, as well as the Chassis, Aerodynamics and Electrical Design Leads to ensure seamless integration of all components. Co-led a team of 13 student engineers to manufacture and assemble the suspension and driveline components for our team's 2024 entry in the Formula SAE Australasia Competition. Collaborated closely with other subgroups to integrate components, contributing to weekly manufacture leader and mangement meetings.Competition Placing: 2nd Responsible for manufacturing mechanical components for our team's entry in the 2023 Formula SAE Australasia Competition. Gained machining experience in manual turning and milling, and set up operations for our in-house 3-axis CNC.

      Number 2 Mechanic

As the Number 2 Mechanic for Michael Shin's Car #16 in the 2024 Formula Regional Oceania Championship, I was responsible for ensuring the car was mechanically sound before and after every session. For the duration of the five-week series, I was fortunate enough to work hands-on with the Formula 3-spec Tatuus T318, collaborating closely with the Number 1 Mechanic on maintenance and repairs. I also worked closely with the Race Engineer to implement setup changes, adjusting parameters like camber, toe, wing attack angles, and anti-roll bar stiffness.Constructors Championship: 1stDrivers Championship: 4th Show less
