  Training in Leadership and completed a Diploma in lv2 BIT (Business Improvement Techniques).I started with Co-op as part of the startup team when the new DC opened covering 480,000sq ft. to ensure the ramp ups went to plan and the layout was fit for purpose and to help reach and plan to achieve the 68 million cases per year target. I was fully capable in all roles within the Castlewood Depot and could hit targets and kpi’s set on every department.I was also part of the continuous improvement team at Castlewood that made great changes for the depot saving thousands for the company by completing regular Kaizen events and various Six Sigma CI techniques and methods.   On a day to day basis I made sure around an average of 200,000 singles where picked, loaded and dispatched by a team of 80+ colleagues to ensure targets and budget were met. I was responsible for hiring new staff and managing them throughout their probationary period to ensure standards and targets were met, if this was not the case I would offer help or terminate contracts where necessary. I undertook regular reviews for all staff to see if they were hitting targets, enjoying their roles and their general wellbeing. I ensured all vehicles that left the depot had the correct temperature and the stacking and presentation was of a high standard and all stock was present. I undertook stock takes weekly and I liaised with internal and external customers all over the UK daily to double check all orders were correct and that they were happy with their previous deliveries and any issues or requirements was sorted out immediately for them.   Here at DHL using what I learnt from CSCM I ensure that each day I have the correct number of staff to conclude a smooth operational shift and meet targets/budget set. I monitor between 20-140 employees on a frequent basis throughout the shift. Health and safety is one of my key priorities making sure I maintain the high standards that DHL as a company set. Performance dialog boards are a daily duty of mine, they show the workforce what is happening within their department and how we are performing as a depot, to push for continuous improvement ideas, which are then followed up by completing Gembas/DMAICs/Just do it. As from April 2019 I have been overlooking and offering support with the full change from MUWS to the new JDA WMS across the entire site ensuring a smooth transition. Show less
