  During the month of April 2019, I gained experience in the international company Ricardo. During my time there I was present for and gained insight in cross-divisional performance reviews, accounting and finance for international companies, working capital management, credit controls, finance change management and project finance.One of the main areas of interest I had within the company was the intercompany relationships and culture. I was able to discuss this with CEO David Shemmans and Treasurer Luisa Keary. With Luisa Keary, I also observed how the risk of lending internally is mitigated through currency swaps and how this is a vital practice to ensure each division has the capital to use in day to day operations and project management.
