  Fellow

  I was chosen as a 2018 Teach For Malaysia Fellow and I was posted to a high-need secondary school in Selangor after undergoing 2 months of intensive training. During the Fellowship, I taught English and History to students. I also carried out a variety of other administrative and co-curricular duties while studying part-time for my Diploma in Education. I'm most proud of organizing English activities for students, including running my personal project "English For Everyone" that was funded by the Queen's Commonwealth Trust and focused on improving speaking skills as well as being a co-founder of "SPLAT", a debate training initiative that impacted 160 students across 7 schools in Selangor.I served as a representative for my fellow teachers as part of the Fellow Advisory Board (FAB) for the 2018-2019 term.Throughout my time in the fellowship, my focus has been to empower students through self-expression and by providing them opportunities to learn more about themselves and the world around them.
