      Masters of Science Geography

      At Northern Illinois University I earned a Master's degree from the Department of Geography. While a student at NIU I was a member of the colloquium committee and captain of the department's recreational soccer team. The requirements of the program were to successfully complete two years of course work and a thesis. My thesis was on identifying the creative class in northern Illinois using GIS.

      At Aquinas College I was a student in the Department of Geography. This was where I was first introduced to Geographic Information Systems and the technical aspects of sustainable practices and monitoring.

      As a PhD candidate at the University of Cincinnati I worked on developing a multidisciplinary degree as I completed my requirements for the School of Planning. The courses I took outside of planning included classes in the geography, business, and economic departments. As a PhD candidate I was also required to be a teacher's assistant, teach my own course, and write a dissertation.
