A Registered Charity supporting Single Parents Living with Asthma and Other Challenging Health Issues and their Young Carers.(Single Parents Living with Asthma and Other Challenging Health Issues)SLPOACHI Foundation UK has been initiated to raise awareness and support for single parents and young carers with challenging health issues. We have identifieddisproportionate gaps in the support and resources offered to this vulnerable group. SPLAOCHI is a registered charity working with and supporting single parents with challenging health issues, from various diverse and ethnic backgrounds and their families including young carers, to not only address these gaps, but also find joint solutions to bridge the gaps. Often single parents and young carers with health issues feel their children are being left out, deprived, neglected and not considered, making them extremely vulnerable.Single Parents with challenging health conditions often feel their children are excluded from adequate support in Schools, especially due to lack of support systems. Whentheir parents are unwell and therefore unable to physically take them to school, their children miss out on receiving education, potentially for weeks and months at a time. Parents are also not able to afford to pay for their school trips or attend school activities with them due to poor Health. Often there is little or no financial support put in place for Show less
