      • Operated and maintained steam propulsion equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, air compressors, and associated equipment. Performed preventive and corrective maintenance on this equipment.• With an emphasis on hydraulics, led small groups of mechanics to remote locations throughout Europe to complete emergent repairs on submarines and ships. As the Maintenance Manager, I was responsible for ensuring we could complete the job within the scope of the work request, had all required repair parts, assigned mechanics according to their abilities, ensured the system would facilitate the maintenance safely, all QA points were met, and system testing.• Supervised and tracked maintenance on propulsion gear for a Navy nuclear power plant. This maintenance was conducted according to the strictest of safety and good mechanic practices. • Shipboard Departmental Safety Representative responsible for ensuring compliance with the Navy Occupational Safety and Health (NAVOSH) program. Conducted safety and fire prevention inspections, risk analysis, safety audits, and monthly and situational safety training in accordance with NAVOSH. All findings and any corrective actions were reported to the command NAVOSH director.• Developed, implemented, and evaluated curricula, instructions, and course supporting material.
