  After completing a three month summer placement at Computacenter, I became a Campus Ambassador for the company on my return to the University of Sheffield. Through this role, I am responsible for spreading awareness of the Computacenter brand and encouraging students to sign up for the numerous employment opportunities available including associate programmes and graduate schemes. This has kept me in close contact with Computacenter and with the University of Sheffield Careers Service. I have arranged several initiatives to spread awareness of Computacenter, including talks in lectures, notices/ advertising both online and in the Student Union, and I am currently in the process of arranging to run a stall at the Careers Fair, as well as the hosting of an Employability Skills Session later in the year. This role has helped me to improve my marketing, sales, presentation and project management skills. Show less Over a three month industrial placement at Computacenter UK Ltd, I worked in the Partner Management division who are responsible for procurement and managing the relationships with suppliers. During this period I gained an insight into the IT industry and working in a large, global organisation; two areas I previously had no experience in. Throughout my time, I learnt procurement/ purchasing skills, and developed personal skills in presenting, teamwork, building relationships both internally and with suppliers, and built up my confidence in working well in a professional environment.
