      Wahseema was selected to represent the University of the Western Cape as Project Coordinator and Creative Facilitator in a Cross Cultural exchange through the Performing Arts. During her stay in Norway, she was responsible for designing and initiating sustainable projects for the program. She was also responsible for preparing lectures and workshops at the University of Stavanger where she was based. She implemented these programs at various schools, around using arts as tool for critical engagements, conflict resolution and performance. One of the ongoing projects she has initiated was the integration of refugee and marginalized groups into Norwegian culture. The project was supported and funded by Norwegian Peace Corps. Show less

The project outcome was to develop policies, procedures and document a standard operating procedure handbook for the administration and management of sheriff’s offices nationally. She was accountable for documenting sheriff processes, interviewing stakeholders within the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development and SABFS. Part of her role was compiling the handbook and ensuring the processes aligned to judicial law and was communicable to all stakeholders. Show less

      The Department of Local Government IDP directorate is tasked to monitor and track progress and implementation of municipal plans agreed at Indabas. A monitoring and evaluation system was built in order to record, track and report on IDP Indaba generated agreements. Wahseema was responsible for coordinating and communicating with various stakeholders within the department of local government in order to facilitate and create a BRS and FRS for the monitoring and evaluation system. She was actively involved in the testing process as created test scripts. She was also responsible for overseeing the internal testing process and testing with department of local government staff. She compiled training documents to be used by the different users of the system and assisted in the actual training of IDP staff and municipal members on the new monitoring and evaluation system.       Roles and Responsibilities:The Old Mutual Information, Risk and Security department has a programme dedicated to developing the Cyber Security awareness initiatives and competency within Old Mutual. Wahseema’s role on the programme was to coordinate and manage those activities in relation to cyber awareness to the department and business. As part of that role she would track and report all cybersecurity awareness programme activities and budgets. She was responsible for providing stakeholders with relevant updates in line with reporting schedules, tracking all awareness initiatives from a detailed resourcing, planning, budgetary and time perspective, producing and managing a plan and tracking committed targets as agreed with steering committee. She also coordinated and initiated business awareness and training on cyber security and staged phishing attacks to measure the level of susceptibility to online attacks in Old Mutual. Show less

      Wahseema played the role of a Business Analyst with change management experience documenting business, sponsor and system roles and responsibilities for a technical deployment (of XPLAN, a system used by advisers in the distribution channels to conduct financial needs analysis). This was initiated in July 2016 and aimed to provide all stakeholders with a view on the roles and responsibilities of the relevant stakeholders impacted by the implementation of XPLAN into Personal Finance. The outcome was documented in relation to categories defined by their main functions. The objectives achieved were to ensure that the responsibilities of business roles appropriately reflected the behaviour changes required as a consequence of the deployment, to identify any new roles required in the management and support, identifying and communicating gaps in the existing sales value chain roles, providing role clarity to efficiently support the new technology that was deployed. The AMS project implemented a single coordinated Academic Management System across all its campuses and integrated with other internal systems (ie Salesforce, NaVision, myLMS, Scientia Timetabling). The ILS project was a strategic imperative to switch to digital technology enhanced learning to align with competitive market conditions, and to enhance compliance with the Higher Education Quality Council (HEQC) accreditation.
