  My placement was focused on event operations and management. I helped run several events including ‘Dino Mania’ ‘The Mad Hatters Tea Party’ and ‘The One World Event’. During these I gained experience working with children mostly in arts and craft activities. I also acted as host during my placement - welcoming families and explaining what the activity was and how they could get involved. This developed my communication skills as I grew comfortable introducing myself and what the museum had to offer.My work placement was so enjoyable that I became a regular volunteer for Sunderland museum, working consistently during the summer of 2016.
