At SUSE I learned to balance resources and constraints (cost, time & product quality - the classic triangle) and manage priorities. As the product owner for selected features in the SUSE Customer Center I was accountable for planning, coordination and execution of the related development projects. I studied customer needs and made competitive and financial analyses for the preparation of product requirements. Using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) I modeled business processes in order to optimize the flow for new product releases. It was great to get my hands on the Open Source software market, its operational aspects and to experience product management in a global technology company together with established product managers.
