  As Compliance Officer for CLS Group, I am responsible for ensuring the firm meets it’s obligations and regulatory requirements as an FCA authorised insurance coverholder. My role involves overseeing the development and implementation of procedures that facilitate compliance and working with other executives to ensure compliance throughout all departments within the organisation, including the project manager for all ad hoc projects. Ensuring that the organisation has the necessary resources to research and track external laws, regulations, and industry standards is a key part of my role to instruct implementation of system/product changes for new laws and to deliver training for all staff to keep employees up to date on the latest regulatory requirements. I support senior management in identifying key issues in our regulated entities as well as non- regulatory entities. Other duties include carrying out contract reviews, creating internal compliance manuals, policies and procedures and guidelines to ensure consistent and sound practices are adhered to and preparing a quarterly Compliance report for the Board.
