Myself and an external consultant were responsible for evaluating and co-authoring a planning and project development proposal for the online Heart Foundation tool, Journeys. Journeys is an online tool, as part of the Heart Foundation’s campaign ‘you are not alone’, that enables, those who have been impacted by heart disease, to tell their story online with the purpose of empowering those newly diagnosed to read of others lived experiences.• Recruitment of whanau and health professionals for interviewing, particular focus on Māori and Pacific individuals/organisations.• Facilitation of meetings for the interview process, including conducting a portion of the interviews• Thematic coding of data and from these findings,• Co-creation of a planning and project development proposal for the development of Journeys• Delivery of findings and proposal to members of the Executive team.   Collaborating with Associate Professor, Psychology and Neuroscience at AUT University and the National Research and Advocacy Manager, at Autism NZ. I was principal investigator in a research project to gather “whanau perceptions of the EarlySteps early intervention programme. Delivered by Autism NZ, it is Ministry of Education funded initiative. The findings of this research have been pivotal to the development of the programme as well as impact reporting showing evidence of the success of the programme aligned with the strategic objectives as outlined by the Ministry of Education contract.• Writing and gaining ethics approval, through AUT University.• Development of research questions, methodologies, recruitment, data collection (through semi-structured face to face interviews), data analysis (thematic) and dissemination/presentation of results to the National Research Advocacy Manager.• Interviewing Māori and Pacific, and ensuring their voices heard.
