Was rotated around Materials Management, Manufacturing, R&D, China Sales and finally became a Materials Management Specialist.There was global and regional exposure to internal staff located all over the world. As all correspondence was made via phone calls and emails, effective communication skills across cultures, time-zones and priorities were essential to the everyday work.As soon as joining Dow, he took up a process improvement assignment. In 3 months he studied and analyzed in detail 400 completed order files of Materials Management and tabulated the time spent on each single procedure from order entry to money collection. As a regular star performer, he was chosen by top management to attend a GAR Executive Management Development Forum conducted in Singapore in 2000 by INSEAD.Kodak Professional Division served commercial and portraiture photographers, photojournalists, camera stores, mini-labs, professional labs, portrait photo output labs, and imaging requirements of the HK Government Arthur was the person in Asia to sell the first ever color management solution, a package from Kodak as a founding member of ICC. This package, though powerful, was limited to RGB workflows and only applicable for professional photofinishing laboratories utilizing sensitized materials. Show less

      Starting 2001, Arthur was GCR and AP Regional Sales Director at GretagMacbeth (acquired by head-on competitor XRite in 2006), a manufacturer of precision color measurement devices and color management softwares for creative design, photography, prepress, inks and digital/analogue printing. It was a full spectrum job responsible for, but not limited to, sales & marketing, channel management, positioning & pricing, new product launches, and manufacturing, etc. Building practically from scratch in 2001, Arthur successfully brought GretagMacbeth to the attention of the trade, making it the preferred brand and establishing i1 as the icon for color management. Arthur also became a well-known color management expert in the region.Arthur multiplied his efforts by strategically recruiting channel partners for differentiated market segments, transferring the necessary knowledge and technologies to these channels, giving them sustained business and technical support & training, and managed their conflicts fair and square.Arthur doubled as key account manager. In Asia he led the Applications Team in completing the global projects initiated by US counterparts with Client's Top Management. An intensive degree of customer service was conducted to multiple tier (internal and external) parties at the Client companies, who finally materialized the projects into practice and had their color processes promoted to the next level.After acquisition by XRite's in 2006, Arthur assumed role of Director of Market Development for GCR and AP, responsible for- improvement of XRite innovation rate: to achieve high sales volume of newly launched products- bringing XRite business further upstream in the imaging chain: photo imaging products- building up OEM-like co-operations and bundling: integration of pressroom inline automatic quality control solutions into China-made ink consoles; bundling a second-tier measurement to a local Chinese RIP.
