  When I started my position at Tesco I was a home delivery shopper though I soon gained experience in almost all departments in the store and eventually changed my main department to clothing. since I started I have taken on lots of responsibilities and gained skills in re-merchandising, team leading, using my own initiative and multitasking. This job has really improved my customer service skills with the need to consistently handle new and unique situations. I receive lots of compliments for my friendly and enthusiastic personality from customers and colleagues alike and often receive "wow" comments for my great customer service. Show less

  At snow and rock I spent extensive time learning about the technical materials within the product range and their sutability to different environments and sports. I was able to advise customers on the most suitable equipment for their needs. I also had to develop a wide range of transferable skills like communication and prblem solving as well as a more specific set of skills such as boot fitting.

  Investigating potential ecological and environmental drivers of carbon storage and resilience in degraded areas of the Amazon I study Environmental Science MSci at University of Exeter, penryn campus. This means I study a wide range of subjects with a predominant focus on remote sensing and biogeography in both my 3rd and 4th year dissertations. I achieved a 1st overall in my 3rd year of study and hope to achieve the same in my final year of study.

  At the cornish Seal sanctuary I mostly use and refine skills in retail such as customer service, problem solving and money handling. However I have also been given the opportunity to work closely with other departments so have developed in areas such as animal care, public speaking and fundraising. I am really enthusiastic about the protection and care of seals which involves learning a lot about the current methods of conservation and relaying this to members of public including children.
