  First Nursing Job! Developed from Novice to Highly Competent/Expert Staff Nurse in this large, isolated Tertiary Referral Hospital receiving patients from a remote, rural, mountainous region. Not only a busy General and CardioVascular surgical center, this facility was a Certified Level II Trauma Center; Comprehensive Stroke Center; Accredited Chest Pain Center & Comprehensive Heart Attack Center; with Tertiary OB, Pediatric, and Neonatal inpatient services.The large Emergency Department consisted of approximately 85-beds seeing estimated 110,000 visits annually.During my tenure:•Achieved triple national board certifications in Emergency Nursing, Pediatric Emergencies, and Trauma Resuscitation & Care.•After formal training, served as a designated department Preceptor for new nursing staff, both novice and experienced. •Served unit peers as often-sought clinical resource.•Underwent training as peer adjunctive Instructor in ENPC, TNCC, and national board certification review courses. Further personal explorations in extracurricular excellence:•Active Member of local & state chapters of Emergency Nurses Association; served as a delegate to 2015 ENA national conference as well as in State Chapter responsible for chapter online presence. •Independently attended additional conferences to develop knowledge and skills in current emergency nursing practices. •Achieved EMT-Basic certification followed shortly thereafter by Advanced-EMT certification.•Obtained Stop The Bleed Instructor certification and collaborated in hospital’s Trauma Services Department community outreach efforts via team-training teachers in community schools regarding principles of Stop The Bleed Program and use of grant-funded bleeding control kits provided to schools. *For clarity surrounding overlapping positions, from Fall 2017 — Fall 2018 I continued weekly per diem work in Emergency Department while working concomitantly full-time in NTICU and part-time as EMS Clinical Instructor. Provided empathic, evidence-based Scene and Interfacility transport care of moderately to critically-ill adults and children across spectrums of age, specialty, and severity.
