      Conducted a research at Balai Pengamatan Antariksa dan Atmosfer (BPAA) Pasuruan, under BRIN, focusing on the quantitative relationship between air pollution and sky brightness. The research addresses the critical impact of atmospheric pollution on astronomical observations, specifically how particulate matter can reduce sky transparency and limit observation quality. We analyzed PM2.5 (particulate matter with a diameter of 2.5 microns) and sky brightness data collected throughout September 2021, applying linear regression and Pearson correlation methods. The project involved data cleaning and preprocessing, statistical analysis using Python and Excel, authoring a comprehensive scientific report, and presenting findings to stakeholders concerned with both environmental and astronomical implications. • Conducted data analysis on complex observation datasets to find the correlation between air pollution and sky brightness. • Co-authored a research report titled ”Analysis of the Correlation between Air Pollution and Sky Brightness in BPAA Pasuruan” • Delivered a professional presentation of research findings to stakeholders as a contribution toward a better understanding of local environmental conditions.       This research aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic motions of sunspots and photospheric magnetic properties in relation to how X-class (the strongest) solar flares occur. This understanding is valuable for scientists seeking to predict the onset of strong solar flares that can trigger geomagnetic storms, which potentially harming astronauts, space infrastructures, navigation, and communication systems.The study found that individual sunspots exhibited rotational motion and variations in magnetic characteristics before and after flares, highlighting a strong correlation between these changes and the triggering of energetic X-class solar flares.My role in this research focused on tracking the proper motions and area changes of individual sunspots in 7 different Active Regions: AR11158, AR11166, AR11520, AR12158, AR12242, AR12297, and AR12673. I then conducted a detailed analysis of the collected data. Tools I used included JHelioviewer, Fiji (ImageJ), Microsoft Excel, and the Python programming language. • Converted raw sunspot image data into numerical values, making it ready for analysis. • Discovered correlations between sunspot properties and their behavior patterns, which can be used to predict upcoming solar flares. • Co-authored a research paper titled ”Proper Motion of Individual Sunspots and Photospheric Magnetic Properties Related to X-Class Flares in NOAA AR12158.” Show less
