  Senior Human Resources Manager

  Currently serve as the Senior HR Manager for Neutron Sciences, Physical Sciences and US ITER, managing a team of personnel including HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners and HR Administrators, supporting approximately 1,000 personnel. Provide HR support services to include recruiting, hiring, performance management, succession planning, awards, compensation and consultative services related to human resources personnel issues. Support managers through the life cycle of an employee. Provide strategic personnel planning for the senior Associate Laboratory Directors. Partnered with the ORNL International and Diversity office to implement and enhance the directorate diversity and outreach program by creating a Women in Neutron Sciences Resource Group, providing several diversity speakers for management training and increasing outreach to interns. Tracked diversity and female hires and boosted numbers by increased management awareness and targeting key universities and other recruiting sources. Created a Coaching Program within the directorate and worked with HR Business Partners on coaching techniques to provide more than 15 managers with a coaching experience. This was part of a lab-wide initiative. Created a new training module for Management Boot Camp about Performance Management and Performance Improvement Plans because of outstanding presentation skills. Led a re-vamp of current succession planning by conducting quarterly updates with division directors and starting a mentoring program for Top Five staff in the divisions. Reviewed progress for key succession staff development plans. Lead the Performance Management Team (12 members) for the HR Modernization project initiative to recommend and launch a new, cloud solution, performance management system for ORNL. Lead the Communications and Change Management team for HR Modernization. Show less
