  Duty manager

  My tenure at Argos involved a variety of roles ending with being promoted to Duty Manager. My responsibilities included the general store management and customer relations. I regularly dealt with customers including sales, refunds and complaints. Managerial responsibilities included organising and planning staffing rotas as well as loading payroll, reconciling the till floats and daily/weekly takings. This role needed a calm approach to tasks and an empathetic attitude to customer issues.There was a lot of involvement with recruiting and training.   Service charge budgeting and monitoring. Annual production of accounts. Annual review of all rents spanning various tenures. Distribution of annual rent increase notices. Annual NROSH submission. Database reporting using SQL and Visual Studio applications. Database updates. New development budgeting. My role in the finance department at Hightown focuses on the sales ledger and running daily processes with our financial software. The role is extended include knowledge of the purchase ledger and periodic administrative duties. I also provide ledger reconciliations and monitor sales ledger debt. I am fully trained within the company's tenancy system and have an extensive understanding of the rent accounts.
