    • Bizzy bites poultry farm

      Feb 2007 - now
      Agriculturist

Farming runs deep in my veins, and for the past 11 years, I have been involved in various forms of commercial agriculture and I have a feeling this will not stop any time soon. My journey began in 2007 with the pioneering of a super-intensive modern Piggery in our catchment area of Traditional Authority Bvumbwe in Blantyre, focusing on the then-trendsetting Trista pig breed. I have since ventured into horticulture, nurturing an orchard of organically grown peaches, which have now reached maturity and provide seasonal harvests. My passion for farming extends to poultry, where I raise an array of breeds including Local Chickens, Indian Kuroiler Chickens, Sassol and Black Australorp chickens, Muscovy Ducks, Rabbits, ISA Quail, Guinea Fowl, and Turkeys. Jun 2009 - Jul 2015
      Business development manager

After holding significant roles in the FMCG industry both in the UK and Kenya, I transitioned to a pivotal role in the early stages of Tepak International Services. This startup, operating in the Customs clearing and Forwarding sector in Malawi, entrusted me as its sole employee at the time. It was a thrilling journey of learning, evolving, growing and brand expansion that transformed Tepak into a company with over 20 employees and a nationwide presence, boasting seven offices across the county.Amidst Malawi Revenue Authority's (MRA) transition from manual to computer-based systems, I held a multifaceted role, overseeing HR, Accounts, Licensing, and ensuring customer satisfaction. I was able to establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments nurtured the company's growth and ensured we made inroads in an industry that was notoriously difficult to penetrate for new entrants.
