  I began as a full service vendor, filling soda machines from Pennsauken north to Bordentown and East to Indian Mills. It was at this time that I obtained my CDL for air brakes.After 4 years I was fortunate enough to bid on and receive a new route delivering soda fountain products such as Pre Mix products , Bag in the Box products, cups , lids , and CO2. It was at this time that I obtained my hazardous materials endorsement. I delivered this route from Camden north to Cinnaminson and East to Medford.During my time at Pepsi I was Employee of the Year 3 times and was awarded a trip to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Las Vegas, and New Orleans.The only reason I'm still not Pepsi Bob is because my dream job opened up as a firefighter in Pennsauken .   Hired in 2004 as a career member I am currently serving as a Lieutenant Tower Ladder 11. I was promoted to Lieutenant on July 4,2022. During the shift I have the oppurtunity to supervise a platoon of 4.Currently Certified Fire Officer I, through the Department of Community Affairs , Division of Fire Safety, Fire Official through the NJ Department of Community Affairs , Division of Fire Safety Fire Inspector through the NJ Department of Community Affairs , Division of Fire Safety, and Fire Investigator through IAAI.For five years I was assigned to Fire Administration where I conducted fire safety inspections on multiple family residences, commercial properties, industrial complexes, shipping terminals, and storage tank yards. These inspections included life hazard uses, quarterly inspections, and local uses as described in the fire code. The office was responsible for smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector inspections on single family houses going through the sales process. Further the office followed up on complaints issued by residents of Pennsauken Township, or fire department personnel responsible for filing such complaints. In 2011 Pennsauken Township developed and to this date maintains a fire investigation unit. On a rotation with other investigators, I serve as a Fire Investigator representing the Township of Pennsauken. As a Fire Investigator I've been presented with the oppurtunity to investigate over 50 fires. Recently I’ve been assigned the Public Education portion of fire prevention.I’ve been included in three Unit Citations presented to my platoons:Awarded for efforts to the platoon of Engine 1191 for which I was assigned. The incident involved a gasoline tanker with a full load of gasoline which overturned spilling the load.Awarded to Engine company 1191 which was under my command for a mobile home fire. Awarded to Engine Company 1132 for efforts in rescuing a trapped resident at a residential house fire.. Show less

During my employment I was tasked with ordering EMS supplies for a fleet of 3 ambulances, building supplies, occasionally got coverage for scheduling, and was proud to serve the townships I covered.

  I provided 911 Medical assistance to Camden City residents and visitors. As an EMT I am provided the opportunity to utilize incident Command Incident Action Plans. I provide high quality patient care, while working well with my supervisors and coworkers. Further a high level of communication is utilized while transferring patient care to a higher medical authority in facilities that the patients are being transported too. All of the patients receive the highest possible care while utilizing equipment provided to the BLS crew. While working some of the medicine that I've been trained on administration of oxygen by ways of the various types of oxygen masks, airway adjuncts, narcan, aspirin and epi-pen.Further training includes AED, suction unit, splinting of fractures, KED, Lucas Device, MDC programming as well as charting on EMS Charts and prehospital notification utilizing Twiage.Unfortunately on January 1, 2016 my employment with University Hospital ended with a layoff, as Cooper University Hospital was poised to take over the city of Camden for EMS.I received a unit citation for efforts given in the Borough of Haddonfield. A gentleman in a bucket truck had a large trunk fall on his leg, pinning him in the basket with his leg under the trunk. Show less

Training for mental health resiliency was completed, and I look forward to assisting anyone who needs my services.I’ve received three Unit Citations for my efforts:1) In assisting a family have a Christmas in Ablett Village in Cramer Hill after a hurricane struck Puerto Rico.2) For my efforts on a house fire with patient care.3) In assisting five families have a Christmas after a fire ran a row of houses in North Camden.I was honored to receive Employee of the month for the entire Health System in September 2018.
