This is my summer internship on computational model of prey predator dynamics carried out under the supervision of Prof. Rumi De of IISER Kolkata. In this project I have studied the collective motion of the preys in the presence ofa single predator using Langevin Dynamics in the overdamped limit. In order to write the equations of motion, attractive and repulsive interactions over various ranges have been considered. I solved these coupled equations of motion using Range-Kutta 4th order method in python and got various escape patterns formed by the fleeing preys and also observed killing dynamics by the predator. These different patterns like, swarm formation of the prey group, ring formation by preys around the predator, formation of small subgroups by the prey group to confuse the predator, etc. are also observed in nature. Through this model I got an idea of how the survival chances of a prey group when chased by a predator depends upon the strength of the predator and the range of interaction between the preys. Research Intern

This is my Summer Project on the topic of Floquet Scattering: Fano Resonance in Time Dependent Quantum Transport under Prof. Banasri Basu of ISI Kolkata. In this project I studied the transmission of electrons through a time-periodic potential of limited extension on systems like Two-Dimensional Electron Gas, Monolayer Graphene structure, Dirac-Weyl systems, and Quadratic Band-Touching Semimetals, etc, in a non-adiabatic limit where the Floquet theorem can be applied. Additionally, Wigner delay time of electrons and pumped shot noise have been investigated. Show less
